Apple set to buy Twitter for $700 million

Apple set to buy Twitter for £460m? | News | TechRadar UK.

So Apple and Twitter are in some rumored talks about the purchase of twitter for $700 million that’s a lot of cheddar for a site that there isn’t really a set way of making money off of. Im interested to see what Apple plans on doing with the site,  and technology. Maybe something with updating via voice recognition, which is a little far fetched but would be pretty sick. Also I can see Apple using the technology to build a app to compete with Google latitude & Brightkite which are all location based twitter like apps. Also Microsoft is coming out with a app called Vine which is used to keep your friends and families in touched based on there phones location during times of emergency when other forms of communication have gone done. So basically some more location based updating. It seems to be the next step in this whole twitter thing.  Either way I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Twitter does with the offer, then what Apple will do if they do win.
